Ufa Archaeological Herald

The article presents the materials of the Upper Paleolithic site Pescherny Log, located near Magnitogorsk city in the South TransUrals area. The author conducts the analysis of creating technology and typology of stone tools from the site. According to the technical and technological characteristics the artefacts collection of the site corresponds to the materials from the Upper Paleolithic site Talitsky as well as to the archeological finds of the early Upper Paleolithic phase of Bliznetsov Grotto type. Taking onto account the similarity of artefacts from the archeological sites within the nearby area, the author makes a conclusion that the site Pescherny Log can be dated to the early stage of the middle phase of the Urals Upper Paleolithic.
