Ufa Archaeological Herald

The article deals with the results of archaeological excavations of the Kazaklarovskoe I hillfort, located in the Dyurtyulinsky district of the Republic of Bashkortostan, at the Elbaza river, left-bank tributary of the Belaya river. The excavations were carried out in 1980 under the leadership of V.Ivanov (Institute for history, language and literature of the Bashkir Department of the USSR Academy of Sciences) and T.Ostanina (Udmurt Republican Museum of Local History). Some parts of the material collected on the site have already been used by researchers, but the entire set of the materials has not yet been published. The author has made a detailed description and classification of the objects found on the settlement (dwellings, outbuilding, hearths, middens and pole pits). As a result, the range-type layouts and the presence of food complexes on the site have been discovered. Some key findings are described in detail. 
Much attention is paid to the characterization of the ceramic complex, as a result of which the common features of the pottery and its specifics were revealed. Kazaklarovskoe I hillfort is attributed to the range of sites of the Mazunino / Bakhmutino culture and is dated by the IV-V centuries.
