Ufa Archaeological Herald

The gradual development of the Great Silk Road connecting China in the East and the ancient world in the West, as well as the features of the creation of the “New Northern Way” passing through the territory of the Southern Urals are shown. At the beginning of its history, the branch of the Great Silk Road to the South Urals played the role of a “secondary transit path”, but later this region became an important center for the sale of furs to both the Byzantine west and the Chinese east.
