Ufa Archaeological Herald

In this article the author describes a number of disputable historical questions concerning the life and affairs of a famous Genghis Khan’s commander Subeday-Bagatur (end of the XII – beginning of the XIII centuries) on the territory of Mongolian steppe (Ikh Mongol Uls) and beyond. In particular, he points that the method of comparative analysis of written sources allows specifying certain claims of medieval chroniclers that can be found in some articles of modern Russian scholars.
