Ufa Archaeological Herald

The article presents the results of archeological excavation of two burial mounds conducted by the expedition from the Bashkir State University in the area of «Tselinnoe-3» (Khaybullin region, the Republic of Bashkortostan). It studied almost square stone fences, a burial chamber without a corpse (mould №1) and a sacrificial complex which contained stirrups, horse bits, a quiver of arrows (mound №2). The studied burial mounds can be identified as sacrificial and commemorative complex. The archeological site dates from the XIII century, some peculiarities of burial ceremony and material culture make possible to link the time of its construction with the beginning of the Mongol troops expansion.
