The article discusses the basic types of funeral constructions of the Levadki necropolis (the Central Crimea) in order to define the time of their existence. All the most ancient burials of the necropolis (the middle / second half II – the beginning / first half I centuries BC) had been made in catacombs. T-shaped soil vaults on the necropolis have appeared a little later – in the first century BC (in the middle of the Ist century BC?). The latter, unlike catacombs continued to be used in the first centuries AD, too; however at this time they already occurred along with other types of funeral constructions – niche graves and tombs with shoulders, which spread on the necropolis after the middle of I century AD. Most likely, in the middle of I century AD there were simple soil tombs with horse burials also. The top chronological boundary for functioning of the cemetery (the middle of IIIrd century AD) is the date of destruction of all Late Scythian monuments at the Foothill Crimea.

The given observations allows us not only to receive the general picture of development of the Late Scythian funeral ceremony, but also to reveal a sharp alteration in their funeral traditions in the middle of Ist century AD, that had been connected with a strong Sarmatian cultural impulse.
